I Know I'm Not Over You

I know I’m not over you…

When I constantly check my phone waiting for you to text me
When we go out, try something new and I pretend to like green-tea

When I do my hair only to get your attention
When I take some of the blame just to join you in detention

When I put on a dress and uncomfortable pair of heels
When we skip class to hang out, spend the day together and share meals

When you say you want to talk late at night and I fight to stay awake
When it takes me seconds to forgive you for a mistake

When I make excuses about how I couldn’t find someone and ask you out to events
When we talk about the past and I share a history of embarrassing moments

When you ask me what’s wrong and I make something up because I can’t say it’s you
When I describe you to other girls as the perfect guy; if only you knew

When my heart aches every time you mention some girl that’s isn’t me
When I go all Shakespeare as I bid farewell to my heart that I offer to thee

When I know I’m writing this and all this time I’ve been thinking about you

Cheers To Ancient Times

Like a lightning bolt; striking me... Sending a chill down my spine
Should’ve known you were forbidden… The creation of heavens; Mr. Divine
So evident and transparent to the mind that you’ll never be mine
I have given up; bowed, taken my hat off and resigned
Should have been aware and alerted to every clue and sign
Have ached for so long… Kept going back not once, twice, but nine
Drank poison as I raised my glass to the sky, mislead, assuming it was wine
Pretending to know it all, being part of your future… But I’m no Einstein
A story of longing and surrendering… Of love and pain combined
Farewell to the days of you folding to my arms; of us two being entwined
Crying through the night, waking up with puffy eyes, covering it all with a believable performance of being fine
Should have poured it all out when I had the chance. Should have shouted it off of roof tops – wrote it in headlines
Cheers to ancient times… Now, I only get to visit your shrine

Beast In Disguise

Looking back at a story that never should’ve been written
A book that was better off on some shelf beyond reach
From a fair maiden swept off her feet by so called Mr. Right
To Cinderella, yet before the “Bibidi Babidi Bo”

Tossing rocks at my window, texting all through the night
Talking about our future together; house, cars and a cat named Milly

Social Media Officer @ Aie Serve

Well, it's official!! I'm now the Social Media Officer at Aie Serve!

A few weeks back, the position of Social Media Offier at Aie Serve was open and I directly applied for it. I was thrilled about my acceptance yet a little nervous and worried about it. I didn't want to let anyone down or not rise up to the challenge. But so far, it's been great - Still trying to manage everything.
At first, I had to go over the history of Aie Serve posts so that I'd maintain the same post characteristics and type of writing. And about every Sunday, I check the Aie Serve calender and send a report for the president of Aie Serve with the upcoming posts. Turns out it's more than just posting things randomly and there's a lot more to it. But I'm always excited to try

The Reason for Who I Am Today

I was asked to write an essay about a living leader who has inspired me... Here's what I had to say:

The Reason for Who I Am Today

It had been a long time with my hands on that window pane, staring at the world outside. The universe had been white and black for so long that I stopped sensing colors; bleached from all that was good and hopeful. Fell into the rabbit hole and was in wonderland; lost perception and voice of reason. Fought to stay because why face the world?? Why stand eye to eye with what’ll stab me in the back and get me on my knees?? Just when I thought hope was snuffed out like candles on a birthday cake and the dusty road of life never seemed harder to go on, an unusual character showed up.
No more hiding under beds - no more sugar trails - no more calling like a crow! It’s she who made me realize that I should have picked up all the pieces and put them back together instead of watching them scattered all around. It’s she who painted every inch in the painting

Follow Your '♥'

If you’re planning to write, write about what you know, see or feel; or else it wouldn’t be sincere.
And if you're thinking of chasing anything, you might as well follow your heart. Connect with what you do, so that the result would showcase something you are.

Follow your heart, or don't do it at all...

Dear Diary, University Has Started

Dear Diary,
So, summer is officially over. It's university all over again and this year, it's going to be a hell of a ride. It's only been day one and I'm a bit worried. I'm a little troubled, but it's only cause I have a lot of things on my plate at the moment and I'm just trying to balance it all out.
Other than the fact that my schedule is a total mess and all over the place, it's pretty smooth so far. The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that my university is about forty minutes away and I finish every single day at around 4:00pm, if not, it's 7:00pm -_-
I keep hoping that with a little time management I'll maintain all that I'm juggling in the air without any of them touching the ground, I'll be safe.

I need an extra arm!

If I Had My Life To Live Over

If I Had My Life To Live Over - By Erma Bombeck (Written after she found out she was dying from cancer).

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.
I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.
I would have talked less and listened more.
I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.
I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.
I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.
I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains.
I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.
I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.
When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner." There would have been more "I love you's." More "I'm sorry's."
But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it .. live it .and never give it back. Stop sweating the small stuff.
Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what.
Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.
Let's think about what God HAS blessed us with. And what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally. I hope you all have a blessed day.

1000+

I don’t know who’s out there reading my words, yet here I go again writing more
Clueless to whom this blog is reaching; you’re a mystery yet I’m triggered to go on
I’m no writer with a best seller, just a small girl who started this out of bore
I don’t always write poems that rhyme, and there are better writers out there – on?!

The thing is, I started this whole writing idea for myself. I needed an escape, and I never knew it would be into the world of alphabets and certainly not an online blog! But I couldn’t stick to a normal notebook; too dull and never kept track. It’s just great to write random words here… Whether just a normal Dear Diary post, poems or simple thoughts. I keep recording and revealing more of who I am, only to find myself wanting to share even more.

Fight For Your Presence

It’s at that moment, when the lights are all turned out and you crawl into bed. When you lie there with thoughts creeping from the back of your mind; rising to the surface. It’ll either make you or break you…
A little bruised, slightly broken, and sighing as you retrieve moments and memories. Wondering whether to rest your head on your pillow and surrender to the comfort of this place, or if it’s worth waking up once more and going into battle the next day.
But aren’t you still standing?! Perhaps slightly scarred; but what’s sunshine without a little rain?? And what’s a journey without rough patches and challenges to overcome?? It can’t all be perfect, and what comes trouble-free isn’t as enjoyed and treasured as what’s fought for.
Wage war and battle for your presence as you attempt to give life a meaning…

You’ll have a lot of time to sleep when you’re dead *

UNAVOIDABLE LAWS -

Read this somewhere and it's pretty funny... Hope you enjoy it! =)

These are the unavoidable laws of the natural universe...
1. Law of Mechanical Repair: After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch or you will have to pee.
2. Law of the Workshop: Any tool, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.
3. Law of probability: The probability of ‘being watched’ is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.
4. Law of the Telephone: When you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal.
5. Law of the Alibi: If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning or soon thereafter, you will have a flat tire.
6. Variation Law: If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will start to move faster than the one you are in now. (Happens every time).
7. Bath Theorem: When the body is fully immersed in water or in the shower, the telephone rings.
8. Law of Close Encounters: The probability of meeting someone you know increases when you are with someone you do not want to be seen with.

Sawa Ahla Group

Today, I felt like sharing a bit about an NGO that have recently got my attention; Sawa Ahla Group. I think it's for a really good cause and we do need such work in our community. The people who have founded it are so giving and committed to what they do; I do believe they'd get a lot of great work done.

I think a lot of people go on in this existence and get so taken with what's happening in their lives, instead of taking a little time to look around. Life isn't all rainbows and sunshine, not even half of it. Just because your life have went smooth and all, doesn't mean others are. That's why I support organizations that give back to the society and leave an impact.

"Sawa Ahla Group is a non-profit organization that was founded in November 2010, but officially registered in March 2012 with the goal to support Lebanese kids and teenagers on the economic and social levels.
